Hmm. Hair.
So, in just over a month, I need to do hair for my two unfinished dresses. I have no problem with getting two dresses done. If I work they'll be fine. But hair is an issue. Kendra's book gave me wig hope--I never thought of just blending in part of my hairline before. The problem is, I don't want to make a wig. And that's rather big problem, ( Read more... ) -
Weekend!
And the question is, will I sew?
Possibly? Is this what it feels like to be a muggle? :)
But it's a three day weekend. If I put my mind to it, I should be able to get the last seam, shoulder straps, back and skirt on the piemontaise!

Day 2 of back to work. And day 2 of a nap.
I pinned the bodice pieces for the piemontaise together last night. Hopefully sewing tonight :)

Tonight!
First day of work done, nap about long as last night's sleep done, piemontaise cur out yesterday and ready to be sewn.
I wanted to think out loud about it, but I don't think I have actual computer energy. I think I solved the most pressing issue though, turnings the edge under for the zone where there are two layers. Easy, don't double layer it. ( Read more... ) -

Despite really wanting to work on the stays, I've basically napped since Costume College. Well, that and two day long training things that I had to get up at 6 for. Bleh. I've napped longer in the last three days than I've slept in the past two nights. But hopefully stays tonight! And definitely, barring unforseen circumstances, lots of sleep :)
